Story

These turquoise-blue thermal pools are one of the most popular destinations in Tuscany, Italy and they are called Cascata di Mulino, Terme di Saturnia. We decided to go there during a cold winter sunrise to be on our own. The temperature was lower than usual for February and reached a few degrees below zero. The sun rays were breaking through the steam. The steam is caused due to the temperature differences between the hot water and the cold air. As mentioned already, we came there during sunrise and as we were alone, I managed to capture the place from different aerial perspectives and angles. I captured the top-down perspective, and side perspectives and one of the photos is a big panorama created from 26 separate pictures. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the place for a few hours. And just to mention, when in the water you don’t feel so cold, just when you leave it, you instantly start to freeze.
